How soon should clean-up start?
Within 24-48 hours - soot is acidic and etches metal, glass and stone the longer it sits.
Is smoke residue dangerous?
Yes. Soot contains fine particulates and combustion by-products; occupied rooms should be cleaned and air-treated before use.
Does insurance cover fire cleaning?
