Asbestos removal, demolition and specialist cleaning are available in Auckland, Hamilton and the Waikato, Whangarei and Northland, Napier, Hastings and Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington. Multi-site programmes for national clients are coordinated from Auckland with a single project manager. South Island projects are quoted on request.

What is the difference between Class A and Class B asbestos removal?
Class A covers friable asbestos - material that crumbles and releases fibres, such as pipe lagging or sprayed insulation. Class B covers non-friable, bonded products like fibre-cement sheets and floor tiles. SES holds both WorkSafe licences, so one crew can handle any material found on site. How much does asbestos removal cost in NZ?
Small bonded jobs such as a garage roof typically start in the low thousands; large friable removals are priced per project after a survey. Cost depends on material type, access, area and disposal. SES gives fixed quotes after a site visit or survey - request one through the quote form.
Do I need an asbestos survey before demolition?
Yes. Under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016 a demolition or refurbishment survey is required for buildings constructed before 2000. SES carries out the survey and the removal, so there is no hand-off between contractors.
Which regions does SES Group cover?
Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Hawke’s Bay and Wellington, with crews mobilised from our Browns Bay, Auckland base. Multi-site national programmes are managed by one project manager.
